About Garth Gardens

Garth Gardens is owned and run by professional horticulturist Oliver Liney who has always had a passion for gardens. Oliver's experience in gardening ranges from working in large walled gardens in the UK to large scale rice farming in West Africa and everything in between. 

Oliver initially started his career in healthcare after studying psychology at university. Since deciding to make gardening his full time profession, he has obtained a city & guilds diploma in Horticulture, Level 2 training from the RHS, and is currently continuing his studies at post graduate level in horticulture with Aberystwyth university.

His other experience includes working at 

• Bute park nursery, Cardiff

• Horticulture department, Pencoed College

• Garthmyl Hall, Powys, Mid-Wales

He is also a registered member of the Gardeners Guild
